Greetings! I'm one of many users on Neocities. Nothing truly out of the box as a person, though it depends on who you ask. 
I've always wanted to have a website when
I was a teenager from reading cool personalized anime websites, but I didn't have the coding knowledge to really execute that properly. Besides, no one around me necessarily talked about it among my friends, so social media it was, to an extent.
However, part of that desire of having a website never died with me, so having a Neocities like this was a good chance to pursue a little coding knowledge along the way. While I don't really consider myself to be that good about programming that much,
navigating HTML is a lot easier. CSS? I'm getting there. Javascript? That's another story. Anyway, I'm thankful for so many Neocities users sharing much of their coding knowledge to help someone like myself to put together something for me and others.

Update Log
- Added some more artworks and added a new journal entry.
- Added another artwork.
- Added a new picture to my OC gallery. 
- Updated my Secret Things gallery since apparently, I had an entry of Amata twice in there, and gave a good refresh on that page with a merman Leviticus featured to complement the one with Yona.
- Updated with multiple galleries and a journal entry, finally corrected. I'll have to consider some media analysis writings among other reflections soon...
- Updated Gallery landing page, my journal, about page, and the overall CSS of the website. I also just added six old, yet newly published writings on here. I will probably fix the links tomorrow as I do some gallery coding.
- Finally posted the page for my writings. For now, the journal is the only one properly linked. The others will have their moment. I hope to at least maybe post some of the reflections soon after collecting some to write about.
- Updated the look of my journal. It's a bit junky on the backend, but I will find a way in the future to be more efficient with my CSS. Otherwise, my inner teenage me is happy.
- Uploaded the Library links page. Also had to tweak the about page link because of Neocities being wonky. Added a journal entry.
- Site updates featuring an about me page, library, and journal.
- Another bit of site overhaul stuff for today. I suppose I'll let it be a little raggedy in some regards until I update other pages.
- Site overhaul for the index page to change the look of the site for right now.
- Updated a few more links to the Library Links page for the writing section whereas last time it was for art.
- Finally updated the icons of my writings in the Reflections page. Added a couple of links in my Library Links page.
- Got around to changing Timon's portrait in the gallery. I'm not too sure with how it got messed up with the inital picture in the first place when it shows up perfectly in my photo host.
- Found a somewhat decent gallery for my pictures that I'm okay with so far with this template. Could it change sometime? Perhaps. I at least wanted to put something up after a long time of not being on here. Added on another journal entry for anyone to catch up on. I have made some progress in collecting some blinkies and stamps, so I'll continue to work on that.
- Finally added a little something to the site with the library and museum! Some links are available in the Library for now. I may add an article or two later.
- Made some tweaks to the CSS with a minor addition for future articles.
- Still building up a lot on this website with article ideas, library links, and museum ideas in the near future. I have a very small gallery that I need to build up a bit more before I publish it. Changed the background of the site while uploading some images here and there.
- Going through a huge construction phase right now. Scrolling is finally added for this section.
- Uploaded a tentative sitemap with some subcategories. Not cool looking, but useful for now. Perhaps in the future, I could make them connect like a tree. I have an about page in the works and may upload that today or within the week. I also have some links ready for a link page, though it's mostly focusing on coding for now. It'll definitely change soon enough. I just typed up a personal, life-related journal entry to upload. I'll also have to try my hand at creating a gallery with a few test images if I find a good template with this site.
- Updated my 404 page and my under construction sign, featuring art of my OCs, Takuya (404 page) & Fathiyya (under construction which you can see on the sidebar). Unfortunately, maybe I need to move my little tagline inside the circle...which I will change later. Aside from that, Happy International (Working) Women's Day! Today, I was supposed to be born, but I waited until St. Patrick's Day to enter the world. Go figure, I guess.
- Added a little image of an OC, Takuya, for any 404 error pages, which you can currently see on any page that isn't linked properly, such as the links that are in the navigation. I'll soon create the Sitemap and type up my About page to post.
- Fixed my background issue! Now, I need to create some art for various spaces, especially the widgets. Decided to leave off guestbook as a link. Perhaps later I will include it but not for now.
- Somehow, my background image isn't showing up despite it being present yesterday. It's completely blue now. I'll try to do something. Otherwise, I will keep going for a brief about page and artwork to dress it up, if nothing else.
- Found a good Reddit postfrom r/Neocities about installing Google Fonts on here. Hopefully, I will get it, even if the site looks a little shabby for now. The time will come when it looks a bit more sparkly.
Lately, I have felt the need to really detach from social media by logging out from various realizations about not only myself but also online spaces I have witnessed. I suppose Lent can really present opportunities of not merely fasting, but reflecting on what is making our flesh tick and the need for grace to help us let go of them. I pray to really triumph over that, even for a few or a couple of weeks until that attraction for doomscrolling and other related online reading is starved to death.
In the meantime, I need to draw up an about page about myself. I need to determine whether keeping widgets on other pages will really be useful to do or change up my ideas somewhat. I also want to elaborate and write about social media usage, time, and gifts as a personal reflection for a small essay, possibly.
- Figuring out how to place certain images here as sprites/small images is bending my brain a little. Perhaps I'll work on an about page, perhaps.
- While I wiped away my initial updates from the first template I used from August 2023, I think I like this template enough to keep it and update it properly. I figured out how to get this up from CC's site (their template site is in the footer), combined with the various colorful CSS styles to apply to it. I look forward to adding much more as I am shaping better habits for myself off of social media while also utilizing a bit of Dreamwidth on the side for a sort of back up of my stuff with this. Otherwise, the dropdown pages section is a tenative map for what I want to build in the future aside from the list for the index. It may be a lot to do from where I am now, but I think it can be done and maintained if I don't overthink it and am patient.
